Open the Door is a book of poetry in which Wendy Lynn Hampton put her thoughts, ideas, feelings, and stories in condensed rhyme.
Some poems are actually very short stories, and the book is comprised of a wide variety of subjects. Some may appear to be an attempt at teaching a lesson, but this is merely indicative of the author’s passion regarding each subject.
Humor has also been woven into some of the material, along with an edge of playful sarcasm. Many poems reflect actual experiences that the author has had. Some of these are factual, while others have had minor tweaks.
This is a simple look at life from different angles in a rhythmic, easy-to-read style.
